A view into the celebration hall with the sporting weapon showcases

The Baumann Foundation

...is part of the Reichsstadtmuseum since 1999.

More than 1.000 objects represent a choice of weapon history from the Stone Age to the 19th century in an absolute high quality manner.

Highlights are e.g. a hunting ensemble of the French Queen Marie Antoinette, a sporting rifle (with sabre) of Jérôme Napoleon or a duel pistol ensemble of Prince Klemenz von Metternich - all created by the LePage family, the undisputed masters of gunsmith crafts in Europe!

Along with the weapons there is also displayed a high quality collection of faiences. Especially the items of the Ansbach, Crailsheim, Schrezheim and Nuremberg manufacture can compete with objects of those of more important museums.

Don´t forget to have a look on the pastry moulds, the pewter objects and on the locks. Click on the picture galleries! You´ll be amazed!
